RA JOURNAL OF APPLIED RESEARCH (RAJAR) is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and originality. As an open-access, peer-reviewed, multidisciplinary journal, we prioritize the publication of authentic research that advances global scholarship. Our Plagiarism Policy ensures that all submitted manuscripts are original and properly acknowledge the work of others.

Commitment to Originality

RAJAR expects all submitted manuscripts to be original works that have not been published or submitted elsewhere. Plagiarism, in any form, is unacceptable and undermines the trust and credibility of academic research. We define plagiarism as:

  • Copying text, ideas, data, or figures from another source without proper citation.
  • Paraphrasing or summarizing another’s work without appropriate acknowledgment.
  • Reusing one’s own previously published work (self-plagiarism) without disclosure and permission.
  • Submitting work generated by unauthorized tools (e.g., AI-generated text) as original.

Plagiarism Detection Process

To maintain the integrity of our publications, RAJAR employs a robust plagiarism detection process:

  1. Screening: All submitted manuscripts are checked using industry-standard plagiarism detection software during the initial review stage, as outlined in our Submission Process.
  2. Manual Review: Editors may further investigate suspected cases to assess the extent and context of any similarities.
  3. Author Notification: If potential plagiarism is detected, authors are contacted promptly with details and given an opportunity to respond.

Consequences of Plagiarism

RAJAR takes plagiarism seriously and applies the following actions based on the severity of the violation:

  • Minor Issues (e.g., unintentional improper citation): Authors are requested to revise and properly cite the affected sections. The manuscript may proceed to peer review after corrections.
  • Moderate Violations (e.g., significant unattributed paraphrasing): The manuscript may be rejected, and authors will be notified with a detailed report. Resubmission may be considered after substantial revisions.
  • Severe Violations (e.g., deliberate copying or self-plagiarism without disclosure): The manuscript will be rejected, and authors may be barred from future submissions. RAJAR may notify the author’s institution or relevant parties in cases of egregious misconduct.
  • Published Articles: If plagiarism is detected post-publication, the article may be retracted, and a retraction notice will be published, following our Publication Ethics.

Author Responsibilities

To prevent plagiarism, authors are encouraged to:

  • Cite all sources accurately using APA style, as per our Author Guidelines.
  • Disclose any reuse of their own previously published work and obtain permission if required.
  • Use the Editable Manuscript Template to ensure proper formatting and citation.
  • Verify originality before submission using plagiarism detection tools if desired.
