Effect of knowledge-based entrepreneurship on sustainable development in emerging economies

The study investigated the relationship between knowledge-based entrepreneurship and economic development in emerging economies Brazil and Malaysia covering 25 years (1989 – 2013). The study employed cointegration technique and ordinary least square regression technique on to do country-specific analyses. The results showed that there are cointegrating relationship between Knowledge-Based Entrepreneurship and sustainable development in emerging economies. Further results from OLS analysis indicated overall significant of the model for Brazil and not statistically significant for Nigeria and Malaysia. The study thus concluded that there is mixed finding on the effect of entrepreneurial education on sustainable development in emerging economies.
